Marco Arnautovic (35, Inter) suffered a panic attack during the game, creating a dangerous situation.
The Austrian national team, led by head coach Ralf Rangnick, drew 1-1 with Serbia in the first round of the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League A promotion play-off at Ernst Havel Stadion in Vienna, Austria on the 21st (Korea time). Michael Gregorich (SC Freiburg) scored the first goal in the 37th minute of the first half, but he lost to Lazar Samarzic (Atalanta BC) in the 16th minute of the second half and had to settle for one point.
Arnautovic, the front-line striker in the 4-2-3-1 formation, played full time and assisted Gregoric in scoring. Immediately after kick-off in the first half, however, he was seen collapsing despite no significant collision inside the opponent's box, which surprised many. Fortunately, he ended up with a happening, but it could have been a big deal.
According to German media "Sky Sports," Arnautovic recalled in an interview after the game, "At first, I felt tremendous pressure on my knees and abdomen, and at the same time, I had a panic attack."
"I had nausea and dizziness, and I don't know why, but soon everything was fine. The medical staff gave me a cure, 바카라 and I was able to keep playing," he said.
Perhaps due to the pain, Arnautovic missed three critical chances, leaving a deep impression. Regarding this, he blamed himself, saying, "Even though he dominated the game completely, he could not win. It was purely my fault."
Arnautovic, who made his professional debut in 2006 wearing a Tventor uniform, is one of Austria's veteran strikers. He joined Stoke City, West Ham United, Bologna FC 1909 and settled in Inter in the summer of 2023. Having played the role of a super-sub last season, Arnautovic scored seven goals and three assists in 35 matches (1,149 minutes), contributing to Inter's victory in Serie A.
